Feed and food quality evaluation by Near Infrared Spectroscopy /NIRS/
Agrobioinstitute is equipped with NIRS instrument /NIR System model 6500 M/ for quality assessment of seeds, feed and food.
Regarding the accuracy, this method is fully equal to the wet-chemical analysis, but in contras it is fast, nondestructive, requires neither sample preparation nor solvents or reagents. Several NIR calibrations can be used simultaneously for determination of different components in a particular sample.
In AgroBioInstitute NIR Spectroscopy is applied routinely for quality evaluation of wheat, barley, oat, rye, corn; rice, pea, soy-bean, sorghum, sunflower, alfalfa etc. and their products for protein, fat, fibers, ash and moisture content.
Depending on the specific needs of the clients, additional calibration models could be developed.
